Ventricular Fibrillation
- Lack of organized depolarization, contraction of the ventricles and no cardiac output
- The most common cause of sudden cardiac death
- The patients are in cardiac arrest, with ECG showing shapeless ventricular activity with variable morphology.
- May be progress into asystole without intervention
- Associated with MI, electrolyte imbalances (hypokalaemia), hypotension, history of smoking, male gender

Management
- Initiate the advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
